How to use these rates
- Work out covered area: a double-storey house usually covers 1.4โ1.7 times the plot area (1 marla = 272.25 sq ft).
- Multiply by the rate for your finish level.
- Add a basement separately if you want one, and keep about 5% contingency.
Why two quotes for the same house differ
- One quote includes finishing items (tiles, woodwork, fittings) the other leaves out.
- Steel grade, cement brand and brick quality are not written down.
- Covered area is measured differently (with or without mumty, porch and stairs).
