Basement and boundary wall cost in Lahore (2026)
A basement gives you a lot of space on a small plot, but it is the most expensive part of a house per square foot and the easiest to get wrong. Most of the cost is excavation, shoring, extra steel and waterproofing.
| Basement size | Grey structure | Finished |
|---|---|---|
| 5 marla (≈900 sq ft) | PKR 36–44 lakh | PKR 60–75 lakh |
| 10 marla (≈1,600 sq ft) | PKR 65–78 lakh | PKR 1.05–1.3 crore |
| 1 kanal (≈3,000 sq ft) | PKR 1.2–1.45 crore | PKR 2–2.5 crore |
Boundary wall and gate
A 7–8 ft boundary wall with plaster and paint typically costs PKR 9,000–14,000 per running foot in Lahore in 2026, depending on footing depth and finish. A 10 marla plot needs roughly 130–150 running feet. A steel main gate adds PKR 1.5–4 lakh.
Do not skip
- A soil test and proper shoring to protect neighbours' foundations.
- Waterproofing on the outside of walls and under the slab; fixing seepage later costs far more.
- A sump and pump for rainwater, and ventilation or light wells.
